UKASIS Certification Management undertakes to remain equally distant from all relevant parties and to act without discrimination, based on the principles of independence, impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity. In line with all relevant ISO/IEC 17021 series standards and TÜRKAK guides, we adopt the following principles:

UKASIS Certification, in line with ISO/IEC 17021-1, 17021-2, 17021-3, 17021-6, 17021-10, ISO 19011, 22003, 27006-1:2024, TÜRKAK KVYS-R.40.12, ISO/IEC 20000-6 and ISO/IEC 27006-2:2021 standards, acts on the principles of independence, impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity, remains equally distant from all relevant parties, and does not discriminate.

In line with the principle of confidentiality, all personnel, auditors, experts, and committees involved in certification activities operate independently of any political, commercial, financial, or other pressures that could influence their decisions.

In certification services, no discrimination is made against any person, institution, or organization on any grounds; we remain fair, independent, impartial, and objective at every stage of our services.

Within the scope of our activities, we take the necessary measures against damages or risks that may arise toward third parties, and ensure financial stability and freedom from financial concerns. Financial audits on this matter are carried out periodically by the Impartiality Protection Committee; where necessary, company partners use their personal assets for the institution.

All certification activities carried out are open to the supervision of the Impartiality Protection Committee. To avoid any conflict of interest that could compromise impartiality, consultancy is not provided within the scope of certification activities.

To manage conflicts of interest in certification activities, all potential conflicts of interest are analyzed, and the necessary precautions are taken in advance for every potential situation.

Certification is not carried out for organizations in which the owners of UKASIS Certification are partners or with which they have any commercial relationship.

The payment of a fee to the institution by organizations requesting certification services does not mean they are entitled to certification.

To avoid conflicts of interest, where there has been a commercial relationship, consultancy, or any situation that could put impartiality at risk in the last two years, the relevant personnel — including top management — are not involved in the certification process. An organization providing management system certification services is not certified.

Certification-related decisions are made by individuals different from those who conducted the audit, who are professionally competent, impartial, and independent.

At the relevant stages of the processes, committees are the independent decision-making authority, and top management complies with all committee decisions.

Internal audits are not recommended or provided to any organization, including organizations we have certified.

The confidentiality and security of all information, records, and documents belonging to organizations are ensured.

Concrete steps applied in the event of an impartiality threat

02

Audits considered unsuitable for effective assessment are suspended or canceled; the client is informed in writing, and the audit fee is refunded or a new plan is made.
